Pottersville Preschool announces new curriculum and program offerings:

Pottersville Preschool has recently adopted the “Get Set for School” curriculum; a precursor to the popular “Handwriting without Tears” curriculum used by various public school districts in New Jersey.   “The ‘Get Set for School’ Curriculum has both a language arts and math component, which I find to be particularly advantageous for our students,” said Nancy Campbell, director of Pottersville Preschool. The curriculum has a very hands-on approach allowing children to learn through a variety of tactile and cognitive experiences.

“The hands-on materials make learning exciting and fun. Our children love it. They feel like they are playing, but they are learning,” Campbell said.

Staff at Pottersville Preschool attended a seminar at Princeton University for training.  “It was an excellent seminar,” said Susana Forsythe, the teacher of the 4s class. “I could hardly wait to implement it with my students. You should see how the children’s faces light up when they use the hands-on material that the curriculum provides”
